Baby, it's cold outside...

Yesterday it was -4 degrees F, and last night it dropped down to the negative teens. That is cold. Today we got dumped on of at least 10 inches of snow. The kids are drooling to go play outside tomorrow. Even though we are a stones throw away from the church it still becomes quite the feat to get there. Even borrowing eggs from the neighbors you start to think twice before going out there. It feels like we are in a snowglobe...and the funny thing Matt still barbecued tonight.

Oh and for our kind neighbors who own snow blowers and take a walk over infront of out house, we are truly grateful. I grew up where people didn't own snowblowers. Wenatchee is a place to own one though. Matt says every year that getting one is looking better and better. I said it is cheaper to make brownies for the neighbors than own one. He agreed.

Lots of people barbecue in the winter in Alaska:) Our friends had us over more than once for a winter bbq.

Daniel spent several hours working on shoveling a path from our front door, down to the street, through the front of our lot, and throughout our driveway so our feet wouldn't get so cold and wet when we went to church. So, he was shoveling more when they played outside after church and the neighbor came out snowblowing the mailbox area, and it blew the snow right where Daniel had been shoveling. The neighbor smiled, and Daniel didn't know what to think! I agree with the brownie solution though.

Vancouver is so beautiful with more than 20 cm of snow and it is still coming down. So calm and silent like the song. Love your pictures Jenn.
