New York Observer

It started with Arthritis Today Magazine last December...and now...
we are going to be featured in another magazine! Yipee!

The New York Observer has a brand new magazine that launched in September called Observer Playground, a children's magazine. We will be in the special holiday December issue where she will be writing an article on personalized children's items.

She requested these four designs. I kind of chuckle because I designed Logan's, Gracie's, and the tractor design for my son, niece and nephews so it would feature their names, kind of funny she picked those ones.

Jessica Turns Eight!

school party
star treatment at school for the day
a puppy party
scavenger hunt for presents
Applebee's for lunch
lots of LOVE all weekend

Jessica's cheerful, sunshine personality is a joy in our lives. My favorite part of the day is tucking Jess into bed at night, and lying next to her face to face and just listening to her talk about her day. She calls it our "girl talk". I am so proud of her. She is growing up so fast...

Stuck.

Camilla and I drove into the bank parking lot today...and my new car and I got stuck.

I CAN'T believe I am like one of those emails that circulates with pictures of crazy women drivers.

I hang my head in shame...

Super Snake

I walked into the bathroom yesterday and found this little guy...

For Hunter's birthday party we bought a couple 6 inch snakes at the dollar store for prizes. The box claimed they grow 6 times their size. Jessica was determined to find out. It took a very long time because each time she put him in the bathtub with water, daddy would walk in after her and drain it...she would then return and add water again...he would then come back and drain it. Those two are so stubborn I tell ya...

Turned out for once that the box was right, this dollar store purchase was actually pretty cool...that NEVER happens.

I wonder how I am going to sneak this one eventually out of the bath tub. Tonight he is living in the bathroom sink....Matt is going to LOVE that.

Old News

Today Camilla and I were interviewed by the Business Journal about our business. This morning when I was getting ready I was telling the kids how nervous I was that my picture was going to be in the newspaper. Suddenly I had no clothes to wear... Logan then casually announced that he has been the paper twice, the others then piped in "ya, me too mom." Hmm...well what was I getting all in a huff about?

I soon realized that by the age of 6 it is apparently "old news" to be in a newspaper in a small town seeing my kids have been featured twice now.

I grew up in a city with millions of people and to get in the newspaper was a pretty big deal. So in saying that, I was excited...even if the paper here is WAY smaller.

The reporter took a picture of us standing in front of this wall in our new showroom. It was all very exciting as she talked to us and clunked away at her laptop for almost an hour. She seemed very impressed with our success so far. It was another new experience for me...even if all my kids have experienced it all ready.

The issue will come out November 2

Fresh from Heaven

Gracie Sophia West

Curtis and Holly have added a new baby to their family...
Turko and Geeno their gladiator mastiffs have been their babies for the last 5 years, but 5 weeks ago along came a little bundle from heaven....baby Gracie. We all instantly fell in love with her and fought over who got to hold her.

I couldn't get enough of little Gracie. I don't know if she just reminded me of when my babies were so fresh from heaven, or the love and joy I had for Curtis and Holly and now their babe, but I loved every minute.

The kids LOVED holding, helping and just being with Gracie....even changing dirty diapers.

Curtis and Holly were so gracious to have our rambunctious gang stay for a few days.
Thank you guys, we LOVED it!

Dream House

The kids LOVE Curtis and Holly's house because it is a dream house inside and out!

* A HUGE basement with a pool table (Hunter's favorite)
* A HUGE movie theater room to watch their favorite shows and movies in.
* A HUGE backyard to ride dirt bikes and riding lawn mowers on...all by themselves!
*2 HUGE pony sized dogs to play with.
*a HUGE pantry with lots of fun food for all.
* An Aunt and Uncle with a HUGE heart and lots of patience for our energetic kiddo's
