Wedding Proposal

Jessica came home with her first wedding proposal yesterday...at first I thought SHE had wrote it for someone else, because she is spunky like that. Apparently, a young lad named Alejandro has a fond liking for my little girl. I'll have to keep an extra eye out on that one...trying to make a move on my little girl...one of the benefits of teaching at the kids school each week, I know ALL the kids by name. This extra information may all come in handy one day....

SAY UNCLE!!!!!!

Uncle Matt needed to "break in" Jordan into the West's World Wide Wrestling. Jordan likes to say.."ouch ouch giggle giggle...ouch ouch giggle" I yell at him..."SAY UNCLE!" He quickly yells, "UNCLE UNCLE...UNCLE MAAAATTTT!!!!"

Little Duckies

On Monday we had to end our trip and go home...but mom insisted we come down to Granville Island and check out her little ducks she sees each week when she goes Dragon Boating. We were all feeling quite queasy...in fact hours later Matt started throwing up, and that night I joined him. However we were glad we did, it is always fun going down there.

We walked around and looked at all the fun stuff...until we got too whoosey and had to call it a day...

New Shoes

When we were coming home from a long day together, Grandpa mentions to Grandma, "Honey, I think I need some new shoes." He then lifts the edge of his shoes up to reveal the large gap. Oh dear...

We just have to laugh! Dad, who is a brilliant scholar could care less about his duds...which is why it is just too funny. I love it! Mom though it would be funny to use one of her own household fixes to make them last longer. Crazy folks I have.

(DISCLAIMER: he didn't actually go out into public with the duct tapes shoes...at least I don't think so...)

Tree Ownership

Grandma's Great Intentions....
"Oh I have an idea! The grandkids would LOVE to play in the trees, let me get a ladder and let them each have a tree, and they can have great fun talking back and forth to each other."

"Grandma? Can I have this tree?"
"Sure you can have anything you want sweetheart!"

THEN 2 WEEKS LATER....

"Grandma said this is MY tree."

"Grandma said we have to SHARE the tree"

"GRANDMAAAAAAAAA"

Poor Grandma wants to give the world to all her loved ones...sometimes her promises gets her into hot water sometimes...(and not only with the Grandkids either) Her intentions are good though.

Lonsdale Quay

Every time we go back to my home town of Vancouver, Canada we try to do something "touristy". Growing up in one of the most beautiful cities in the world you can take for granted all the wonderful places you are surrounded by. So this long weekend we picked Lonsdale Quay market. One of the perks was being able to ride a sea bus to get there. Public transportation is a thrill at this age. This cute indoor/outdoor marketplace is much like Granville Island, lots of shops, people playing music from instruments you couldn't name...and lots of neat and fun things to look at but you probably wouldn't buy. Once we loaded the kids up with ice cream and dad found his bench to sit on, the gals were ready to SHOP...love it.

The moment we got there I asked Jordan (my handsome, cutie putie, 12 year old nephew) to take a picture of Matt and I. He took such a liking to it, I told him he could hold on to it for the rest of the trip and take as many pictures he wanted...he was very excited about this idea. He asked how many pictures could the camera card hold? I told him 600- 1000...he said,"oh good." Away he went...these are just a few...and I mean a few.... of my favorites...
