It's T-R-A-D-I-T-I-O-N!!!!

Okay... everything was going so smoothly...trimming the tree.

christmas music was playing...
we were all reminiscing over our special ornaments...
until it was time to put the star on...

Then all of sudden we explained to the kids that because we got such a tall tree this year, we would have to alter our Christmas tradition of each the kids taking turns being lifted up on Daddy's shoulder to put the star on the top....

Oh dear.... what is this I hear?
sniff sniff....

Hunter apparently REALLY liked this tradition, and didn't want to see it go away...

So Daddy and I couldn't bear to hear him talk of how it was our family TRADITION...and how could we not do it this year!!! So...

Daddy teetered on the edge of ladder with Hunter on his shoulder.
And true to tradition, put the star on the 12 ft tree...(without injury I might add)

Daddy saves the day again...

Our hero!!!

Tradition is the glue of life. It provides a balance beam preventing us from falling off the cliff of uncertainty. Well done Matt and Hunter you saved the day with your Christmas tradition.

Merry Christmas (my first early Christmas greeting
