Christmas Surprise!!

All the kids wanted for Christmas was a PUPPY.

We told them Santa doesn't bring live animals.

However, as we thought more and more about it,
it would be nice to have a little buddy for Powder to play with.

So several months before Christmas we picked out this sweetheart and reserved him until Christmas. He looks EXACTLY like Powder. On Christmas Day he was only 9 weeks old.
SO CUTE!!

We secretly went to pick him up on Christmas Eve and he stayed at the office until the kids went to sleep. We bathed him because he apparently slept with a goat and then
we introduced him to Powder...I think Powder is still waiting for him to leave.

We slept downstairs with the dogs waiting until Christmas morning. Everything was going as planned until....

about 1 minute before we were going to tell the kids they could come down Powder thought it would be a good time to get rid of this new intruder and took a little nip at him, which sent puppy yipping and crying loudly! The kids were very confused but still didn't know it was a puppy.

Once they came down the stairs...

Jessica saw the puppy right away
The boys completely didn't even notice him!

But once the secret was out, they were very EXCITED!

I loved seeing the happy time everyone else had, getting into trouble for taking the boys shopping the day before Christmas so they would be less reliant on their letters to Santa, eating that scumptious meals prepared by Matt, inspecting Jessica's complete snow house and of course playing football with Logan. Thanks for making our little Chritmas holiday so fun and relaxing.
