An Exciting Night

Jessica has been working on a couple of inventions the last few days. At Family Home Evening she demonstrated them all to us. She asked Logan to be her assistant...after finding that standing there holding a bag isn't much fun, he promptly told her he didn't think she needed an assistant and sat back down.

Jessica's inventions.
1. A Bag Stainer
2. A Fancy Tree Swing/ Fishing Pole...I am not actually sure what it is?
3. A Display Line for Your Favorite Cards...(even though you have to punch a whole in them, but who is looking at the particulars??)
5. Snazzy Earphones

Tonight Hunter taught the lesson on the influence of friends. He read a wonderful story and then had an object lesson with water and food coloring. He dropped the food coloring in the clear water and said that whether it is for good or bad, we always influence those around us. It was very well taught...bravo! We then had an intense game of nerf gun attack....kids against parents. Daddy got really into it...he is ruthless.

We have a tradition since the kids were wee tots that whoever conducts Family Home Evening they must stand on the stool. The kids and I all agreed since it was Daddy's turn to conduct it was only right to stand on the stool too. Daddy is wonderful at conducting in sacrament meetings good thing he doesn't have to stand on a stool, his balance isn't so good.

All Moved In

We did it! We worked hard this week to get up our signage at our new office building. Mom came down to help us out with everything. What a lifesaver! We needed all the help we could get, and she was the best! We hung drapes, we painted, and put A LOT of vinyl up. We made TWO signs for the street. The first one was measly and just didn't "do it" for us. So we doubled the size, changed the colors....and VOILA. We are now apart of the of Wenatchee's main street business landscape, on Chelan Ave....too cool eh? We still have a lot of work to do (the awning, the inside showroom, etc)

Watch for us and stop by anytime and say Hi, we would love it!

Soccer Star

Matt and I have never played soccer.
Although Matt is quite athletic, I have troubles staying upright on both feet on most days. So when we realized Hunter's incredible soccer ability when he was 4 and scored more goals than boys 3 years older, we were a bit amazed. Over the years he has gotten quicker and better. Yesterday's game was intense! 5 to 2 for us, Hunter scored 4 out of the 5 goals. We are so proud of him. Seeing I don't have any memories of success in sports, it is fun to live vicariously through him.

Were Official....

It is Official!
We have leased a commercial building!!

We signed the lease to a new warehouse/office for our business last week and moved everything over this weekend. It is 4 times the size and a beauty! It is right on main street Wenatchee, on Chelan Avenue, a perfect location... drop by anytime! This weekend Camilla, me and the boys (Matt and Rick) worked and worked to get everything moved over and set up so we wouldn't miss any work days when our girls (Karen and Jamie) came into work today. We did it! Our hubbies were SOOO good at listening, following and carrying out all our plans for the space. Building two large work desks and installing so many anchors and hooks that they never want to see another drill for quite some time.

Since Karen started full time in July, Camilla and I haven't worked vinyl production since, allowing us to work from home. (I like that) We now have more time to move our business forward and grow. Now that we have a larger office, we can each come in for a couple hours, I am excited it will be fun! This is all very exciting. The business has all grown bigger than I ever imagined but I am enjoying it very much. I love being a business woman until 3pm and then full time mommy all while calling the shots with my time. Some steps are very scary...but it is all very exciting and a fun ride.

Camping... Rain or Shine

All summer we had planned to go camping on labor day weekend. The for cast was for rain...not only rain, but thunder and lightening. We let the kids know, they were unwavering and were as determined as ever to still go. Soooo....we went.

Even though it poured 95 % of the time, we actually had a wonderful time. Heavenly Father's beauty during a rain storm and seeing it after, well it is an experience worth every minute. It smells wonderful, it looks amazing and it it feels...well it feels cold...but it is still really cool.

There was a gorgeous path that went around the lake. While Daddy fished with the other two kids, I took the opportunity to walk around the lake three times with each of the kids alone. Walking in nature alone with each of my kids and listening to how their lives were going was priceless. They chatted away without any worries of interruption. I loved it, they are each such wonderful people and I love learning who each of them are and who they are becoming.

We entertained ourselves during the rain spells by roasting whatever we could think of. Starburst, Oreos, chocolate bars, fruit, etc. We cozied up with hot chocolate with lots of whipping cream...my favorite food group.

Hunter was so close to finishing the last book in the Harry Potter series, so he was happy to sit back read, read, and read.

We had to end our weekend early due to Logan's yearly camping injury. He tripped on the tent ropes and smashed his head on the corner of a rock. Other years, it involved a hot marshmallow skewer, other rocks and sharp sticks. We didn't want it to get infected and the thunder started to get a little out of control, so we headed home a day early. We had our fun...time for a hot bath.
