Skating

We thought skating would be a fun filled family activity...however we are all at different skill levels in our family. I won't mention who is better than who, but I know one thing for sure, I was the WORST!!!

Matt had to take the camera this time...it was lucky I got this one and only pic of him.

My Little Budding Business Man

Hunter found a dowel in the garage... colored it brown with permanent marker and used it as a Harry Potter wand. He showed his friend who loved it and wanted one too, so....

Hunter wanted to get more wood to make another. So I bought him a couple of dowels, Matt helped him sand them down, I handed him a dremel and away he went.

He made 12 wands.

We discussed how much he should sell them for. I told him $1.00.
He thought hard for a moment and thought maybe 50 cents. I told him that was too little. So...

...when he came home I asked him how it went?

He sold 4 wands! I asked "Did you make sure you charged a dollar?"

He said "Oh yes Mom! I gave David TWO wands for a dollar!"

wooh look at me go!

Jess said her teacher needed Christmas cookies for their hot chocolate and cookie day
tomorrow and that she volunteered me to do it...how nice of her.

So I went to the computer and typed in Christmas cookies.
Lots of pictures of brightly colored sugar cookies popped up.
I must be feeling strange, because I actually attempted it.

And believe it or not...they turned out.

I know...I cease to amaze myself actually.

What Snow Brings

In one evening we became completely blanketed in snow, a winter wonderland.

It is funny what happens when that much snow comes in...

first, the kids need to be dressed twice...exhausting I tell ya.

Also, as I drive the kids to school driveways are spotted
with old men snow blowing their pathways.
Today I spotted someone sporting this doosie.
A snowblower shield.

Never gets old around here.

My hubby hasn't graduated to the snowblower yet. He isn't old enough.

Christmas Party

This weekend we had our first Alphabet Garden Christmas Party with all the girls and their families. Yummy dinner, fun games with prizes...(we played a mean game of Christmas charades). Finally we had an hilarious white elephant present exchanged. I got to come home with these beauties...boxer brief hand gloves.

I gave a leopard snuggie and Matt gave a Twilight Edward poster. At the end of the night we presented the girls with a Christmas bonus...what fun!!!
