For Baby Gracie

I brought down a custom design for Holly's beautiful nursery.
I think it turned out nicely!

Bear World

Curtis and Holly took us to Bear World on Saturday. Wow! You drive around at 5mph as the bears and animals walk around you. Wooh, it was very neat! They even get on top of the car if you don't watch out! These pictures of the bear are NOT zoomed in with my camera, he was so close we could of reached out the window and touched him. Above is a picture of a an all white elk, there are only 1 in 6 million white ones born. A fun fact from Matt.

The petting zoo was the craziest one I have EVER been too. There were these two goats that literally greeted you at the door by trying to eat some part of your clothing. You then spent the rest of the time either running away from these crazy miniature goats or trying to shoe them away. He got ahold of my sweater so he met my foot...Holly said, Jenn I think they frown upon kicking of the animals...I told her they could replace my sweater then.

Busted

Driving the kids home from school the other day I looked into the rear view mirror at Hunter and noticed his smile took on a more jack o lantern look. I quickly asked him if he lost his tooth!

He said, "Oh you noticed?"

I asked him if he still had the tooth?

He then casually started to tell me how when he was in P.E. the ball hit his face and knocked it loose into the grass.

Caught up in his story with concern I asked him if he found the tooth.

While watching him through the 5 inch mirror, I see him hang his head and say sadly..."No, I couldn't find it."

I quickly started to tell him he could write her a letter and explain what happened and she would be okay with that. As we went on that night I told him he better start that letter. He then told me he was going to do it the next night. I was too tired to care, so I said "sure honey"

TRAP SET.

The next morning Hunter ran down the stairs and yells, "I KNEW IT! SHE ISN'T REAL!"

Trying to evaluate what was going on and what I did wrong, Hunter jumps into his explanation of his evil plan.

He scammed us.

The whole dodge ball story was a lie, he pulled out his tooth neatly in an envelope and explained that he DID stick it under his pillow last night and she didn't come.

I just stared at him in awe of elaborate storytelling skills and considered congratulating him for pulling it off so well, but decided to go with trying to conceal the tooth fairy's real identity.

Once daddy overheard our conversation, he simply said, "But look who doesn't have any money now?"

He didn't seem to care, he had just busted the Toothfairy.

Comes from Somewhere

The kids wanted to join the running club a few weeks ago. I said okay! Running club is after school for a half hour twice a week. There are about 100 kids and they run around the school and receive a punch on a card each time they run around once. For some reason this excites them...

Anyway, I walked with them a few times then found myself as a puncher (stood and punched the kids cards). This was more up my alley. As for the kids, they LOVE to run, and they are REALLY good at it too. If you are familiar with my kids energy you are probably not surprised.

Yesterday was the last day of running club. At the end of the run, their P.E. teacher announced the top 5 runners, who ran more than 10 miles. Guess who two of them were? Hunter and Logan! I was beaming with pride. She announced their name and they were able to come up and get a special plastic running shoe to put on their shoelace....budget cuts.

My friend turned to me and asked me if Matt and I were runners. I said only when chased...

We are so proud. Crazy kids, enjoy running? Haa, who knew?

Super Grandparents!

Yesterday my Dad had hip replacement surgery. Last year my mom had both knees replaced. Now....my parents are as good as new! Titanium knees and hips...wow! I am so excited my mom and dad are out of pain now and can enjoy their new body parts. Maybe when I am their age you can just go in "drive-thru" style and order the body parts that have broken down. My first order...my back and leg. I won't be holding my breath though....

Get well soon Dad!

An Exciting Night

Jessica has been working on a couple of inventions the last few days. At Family Home Evening she demonstrated them all to us. She asked Logan to be her assistant...after finding that standing there holding a bag isn't much fun, he promptly told her he didn't think she needed an assistant and sat back down.

Jessica's inventions.
1. A Bag Stainer
2. A Fancy Tree Swing/ Fishing Pole...I am not actually sure what it is?
3. A Display Line for Your Favorite Cards...(even though you have to punch a whole in them, but who is looking at the particulars??)
5. Snazzy Earphones

Tonight Hunter taught the lesson on the influence of friends. He read a wonderful story and then had an object lesson with water and food coloring. He dropped the food coloring in the clear water and said that whether it is for good or bad, we always influence those around us. It was very well taught...bravo! We then had an intense game of nerf gun attack....kids against parents. Daddy got really into it...he is ruthless.

We have a tradition since the kids were wee tots that whoever conducts Family Home Evening they must stand on the stool. The kids and I all agreed since it was Daddy's turn to conduct it was only right to stand on the stool too. Daddy is wonderful at conducting in sacrament meetings good thing he doesn't have to stand on a stool, his balance isn't so good.

All Moved In

We did it! We worked hard this week to get up our signage at our new office building. Mom came down to help us out with everything. What a lifesaver! We needed all the help we could get, and she was the best! We hung drapes, we painted, and put A LOT of vinyl up. We made TWO signs for the street. The first one was measly and just didn't "do it" for us. So we doubled the size, changed the colors....and VOILA. We are now apart of the of Wenatchee's main street business landscape, on Chelan Ave....too cool eh? We still have a lot of work to do (the awning, the inside showroom, etc)

Watch for us and stop by anytime and say Hi, we would love it!

Soccer Star

Matt and I have never played soccer.
Although Matt is quite athletic, I have troubles staying upright on both feet on most days. So when we realized Hunter's incredible soccer ability when he was 4 and scored more goals than boys 3 years older, we were a bit amazed. Over the years he has gotten quicker and better. Yesterday's game was intense! 5 to 2 for us, Hunter scored 4 out of the 5 goals. We are so proud of him. Seeing I don't have any memories of success in sports, it is fun to live vicariously through him.

Were Official....

It is Official!
We have leased a commercial building!!

We signed the lease to a new warehouse/office for our business last week and moved everything over this weekend. It is 4 times the size and a beauty! It is right on main street Wenatchee, on Chelan Avenue, a perfect location... drop by anytime! This weekend Camilla, me and the boys (Matt and Rick) worked and worked to get everything moved over and set up so we wouldn't miss any work days when our girls (Karen and Jamie) came into work today. We did it! Our hubbies were SOOO good at listening, following and carrying out all our plans for the space. Building two large work desks and installing so many anchors and hooks that they never want to see another drill for quite some time.

Since Karen started full time in July, Camilla and I haven't worked vinyl production since, allowing us to work from home. (I like that) We now have more time to move our business forward and grow. Now that we have a larger office, we can each come in for a couple hours, I am excited it will be fun! This is all very exciting. The business has all grown bigger than I ever imagined but I am enjoying it very much. I love being a business woman until 3pm and then full time mommy all while calling the shots with my time. Some steps are very scary...but it is all very exciting and a fun ride.
