Jessica Falls in Love...again

We took a quick trip up to Canada and Jessica fell in love. With her new baby cousin Benjamin. She was GLUED to him, he loved it too because he is so easy going. She kept saying she wished she had a little baby brother or sister. I told her to not hold her breath.

My Little Pumpkin Hanging Out

My little Logan will be hanging out at home and you'll glance over and see he has managed to find his little pumpkin hat and bib he wore when he was a baby for halloween. I always think I have put it away, but he finds it and wears it for the day. He seems to feel comfortable in it...whatever floats your boat I say.

A very very very long drive.

Stephannie was getting married...in February. We knew that the roads would be tough but not too bad. We were wrong...way wrong. We headed straight into one of the worst snow storms the area had in a long time. They even canceled church...in Idaho. They NEVER cancel church in Idaho over snow. We witnessed several crashed cars and semi trucks, we even saw a semi holding ice cream dump the entire load onto the road! We were one of the few wedding guests to make it down through the pass in time to get to the temple. The way home we weren't so lucky and we stuck on the side of the road from another closed pass. Six hours later we said forget it and ventured off the beaten path (not smart) and weaved through small roads to go all the way around. The sides of the roads had drifts higher than houses on either side and we felt like we were driving through a tunnel. We said our prayers, and called my mom (at 1 am) so SOMEBODY knew where we were if we didn't make it. We finally made it home from our very very long trip to Idaho.

As we worried and fretted over the horrible conditions the kids were having a wonderful time playing hours and hours of their new game cube in the back. Not one peep of complaint.

Valentines Day Tradition

We started a new tradition this Valentines Day. Matt and I made candy grams with little poems about how wonderful we think they are. We wanted them to wake up and let it be the first thing they see. We knew Logan's morning routine was to head straight to the bathroom to do his business, so we thought it would be best to put his there.

Ty

We have learned recently that Jessica has eyes for a particular boy in her class. His name is Ty. When she says his name she gets all dreamy. Once we learned of Ty, I quickly scouted him out the next time I was volunteering in her classroom. Who could make my daughters heart go pitter patter? He is a cute little boy with blonde hair. Just a cutie. Apparently Ty has become a distraction lately as Jessica likes putting notes in his backpack. Oh dear.
Valentines Day was this week and Ty gave her a transformer valentine. We told Hunter to keep an eye on this Ty character for us.
